A new Partnership formed for racing 2011. The partnership consists of three friends, firstly Charlie Longstaff His nephew Steven James Harris and the new recruit a friend of many years Chris Parkin.
This partnership will fly in Craghead H.S flying in Sacriston fed, West Durham Amalgamation.

In 2010 we introduced a large number of soontjen pigeons into our breed,
they where aquired from Paul Stobbs, Frank Sheader , Paul Scott and with 1 or 2 from our good friends Smith & Ovington.
The main base of our pigeons was made when Charlie purchased birds from Jim Pigg of tyne valley in 2003. The late blue & white flight hen 2003 CON 1917 was purchased at this time she had an 8th national as a yearling and as a 2yo prior to racing she was killed by a sparrow hawk. Charlie rang Jim to tell him of this terrible incident Jim replied by saying 'she will leave a legacy' he was'nt wrong. When this happend there was 2 youngsters in the nest, 1 of these two youngsters has turned out to be what we believe to be 1 of the best pigeons to flown into sacriston fed over the last 20 or so years. The blue hen 2005 SAC 2017 has 7 x 1st club saturday and 5 x 1st club wednesday. She has over 25 positions in the top 20 of the federation. She had only 1 race as a youngster and was retired at the end of 2009 at the age of 4.
So in 4 years racing she managed to rack up over 25 positions in the top 20 of the federation with some weeks birdages being over 1000.

The sire to this wonderful hen was a blue cock bred by a fellow club member of ours P. Simpson. The dam of this cock was a great hen for Paul and maybe a close rival to our hen for being 1 of the best birds to fly into our fed as she had approx 4 x 1st fed winning from 286 miles to 418 miles.
